Yes. To upgrade from a single-day badge to a Trade Day badge, the existing badge(s) must first be refunded. Then, you can purchase the Trade Day badge.
Refunding your existing badge does not affect any event tickets you may have already purchased, nor will it affect a hotel reservation tied to the badge.
The refund can be processed by returning to the credit card used in the original purchase or by applying it to your Gen Con system credit. There is a $10 admin fee for a badge refund back to a credit card, while system credit refunds do not have a fee.
Gen Con System credit is non-refundable, non-transferable, does not expire, and can be used for any future badge or event ticket purchase from your Gen Con account. Please know that when system credit is used in a purchase, any future refund of that purchase, the amount of system credit used in the purchase can only be refunded to system credit.
